Finally Recovered

It has been a bit over a month and a half since I injured my ankle.  This past week was a great week of running and getting back on track with things.  I put in around 16 miles this week and haven't had any issues with my ankle.  Unfortunately I had to pull out of the Team In Training and the Savannah Half Marathon due to the fact that I know I will not be ready for a Half Marathon in November.  There is usually a local one in January or February that I plan on doing.

All I can say is that it is great to be back running and clocking in the mileage.

Getting Back

It has been a month or so since my ankle injury.  I did a couple of short runs this past week and had no issues with my ankle.  I even played a few games of volleyball and had no issues.  Looks like I can start getting my mileage back up slowly and do it without causing any more injury. 

Unfortunately I had to pull out of the Savannah half marathon due to the injury.  Did not want to feel the pressure of getting mileage back up and risking another injury.   It was a tough decision but I love running and do not want to risk reinjuring and possibly causing permenant damage. There is always next year.  Guess I will plan and train for the Augusta half at the beginning of next year.
